They are from the US. Brock Keen (in front of the 996) is 996roadtrip on Instagram. He became quite famous touring the US with his 996 and a roof tent. They all came over to Europe and we had a couple of trips in Switzerland, France, Austria and Italy. Yeah was great fun with them.

Thanks, that's Passo di Stelvio or Stilfser Joch a pretty famous alpine road in northern Italy. Was featured in Top Gear in 2007 I think, Jeremy Clarkson named it the „world greatest driving road“ in that episode.

Any Subie bros in here? I owned 7 before turning into Toyota guy. Now they dropped this 'concept', which is less concepty than their usual concepts, and looks more production ready. It seems like it SHOULD be almost exactly what i've been hoping for, bring back the hatch, 6MT turbo boxer, widebody....but i'm not in love with it. It seems a bit childish to me. Maybe its the bad wing or the overstyled bumpers. Thoughts?

@motojobobo for hairpins like this, its much more enjoyable with a car.. there are other mountain passes where I'll happily pick a bike such as grimsel pass.

If you ever plan to do it ask me when it's the best time. It can be a huge mess and super disappointing especially during holidays or summer weekends when masses of people, cyclists, motorbikes, cars and my very special friends camper vans create a huge traffic jam. The turns are quite narrow it's easier and much more fun when it is not too crowded.

@Chap definitely mate. I've seen videos where people tour in peak summer and the whole pass is a parking garage full of what you've mentioned.

if only we can have the whole pass empty just like when top gear filmed it haha

@louisbosco I had that once, well alomst. Late September on a weekday in the early morning. Fog in the valley blue sky on the top, already too chiily for cyclists, road still a bit wet so nor motorbikes, just a Aston Martin group from the UK, some locals.. and me. It was brilliant.

I’ve driven just over 2.5k km in my toy since ownership
Probably going to sell it due to complete lack of use for what it should be used for
An 8 km round trip school run isn’t making the most out of it really

@Brian Same reason my 911 and Ducati went, I just didn't get enough use out of them to warrant keeping them.
