@GraemeE I like the food analogy: I love steak, but I don’t want to eat it every day. Same with music. There’s too much interesting stuff to listen to to restrict myself to one or two genres. Which is something I’m sure you can relate to. My forum handle is by design somewhat misleading, because my favourite genre of music is metal in most of its facets (bands I wouldn’t listen to if you paid me: Babymetal, almost every Nightwish copycat, noodly guitar wankery such as Polyphia, and I don’t understand the appeal of and acclaim for Lorna Shore and Sleep Token). But I do love krautrock, hence the name

Bought this at a garage sale from my neighbour.
Picked it for 45RPM and a mighty reference to King Crimson on the B-Side:
21St Century Schizoid Common Man.
TD and Froese in their Discophase 87’.

Perhaps it was a choice with aftermath.
Long story short, I was invited to see my neighbours vinyl collection.
Two I can remember are Brian Eno-Apollo playing ‘Deep Blue Day’
and
Klaus Schulze with ’Passion Burns’.
Not only the Krautrocksection was huge.
Still speechless.
