These mud-dyed and Boro-stitched shirts and jackets pay tribute to the Japanese art of making and mending. Both are jacquard-woven into a tapestry of beaded, knurled, and braille-like textures, then entrusted to the ateliers of Japan’s Amami Ōshima island for hand mud-dyeing. The dorozome treatment gives the fabric a rich, earthy brown tone that fades beautifully over time, bringing the intricate Boro detailing to life. The jacket’s sashiko-embroidered raglan sleeves and patch pockets add extra tactile depth.

The Real McCoy’s Lot. 001 Type I Jacket & Jeans

The Real McCoy’s Lot. 001XX selvedge is a masterful reproduction of a 1950s denim. The yarns undergo a seven-stage indigo dye process for an era-accurate look before being woven on Japan’s oldest looms to achieve that authentic feel.

The Type I-style jacket bears all the hallmarks of the original model, including a pleated front, single flap chest pocket, and cinch-back waist. The jeans are cut in a mid-rise, straight-leg style. One-washed in-house to remove any initial shrinkage. Both the jacket and the jeans are finished with copper rivets and two-tone yellow and orange cotton thread stitching.
