Boat shoes are "too fancy" for him - I guess I will go with a local bespoke shoe maker one of these day - for now he is wearing the the custom/bespoke shoes he got himself during his last Peru trip - cheap and solid enough, but hardly worth a pic, IMO. -

actually, traveling with him/going to work with him is even more fun as I remember: I went to Machu Pichu, Cusco, Puno in Peru amongst many other nice places in Peru, but working for him on excavations during school vacations in Berlin was the greatest. I can recall when we were clearing the medieval dumpsite of a cobbler in Spandau (suburb of Berlin) and had to wash out the lumps of leather fragments in the middle of winter in the cold or the connected cemetery with more than 30 burials sites... -
Pike Brothers Bundeslaender Tour meet-up with 501lover
as mentioned before I had the chance to meet-up with different tour (although a German tour) of a relatively new player on the German market that has been making some waves here in the local scene: Pike Brothers.
please check them out, but most of all please check out the tour (as B_F and Beatle are also participating), especially the Berlin leg of the tour. 501lover has given a much more detailed tour of Berlin than I could ever do!
