Obviously lots of options if you find yourself in London at any point (and probably no shortage of forum members who’d be up for meeting you).
@Mizmazzle second this, I'll take any excuse for a day out in London!

@Mizmazzle glad I could help in some way. Have a good one.

Hey everyone, thought i'd give a bit of an update on our UK trip plans. We have just about 2 months until we jump on a plane. This is what we have on the itinerary...
June 13th: Leave Denver for Dublin
June 15: Head over to Waylon's in Dublin to see one of our favorite bands, "Devil Makes Three." Super stoked about this
June 17-20th: Rent a car and explore (This part of the trip is pretty wide open, though I'd love to check out the Aran Islands and finding a legit Aran Sweater is high on my list of souvenirs) Cliffs of Moher is gonna happen I'm sure...but still need to figure this leg of the trip out.
June 21st: Fly out of Cork to Bristol to meet up with our Brit friends and celebrate Becc's birthday! These are two of my favorite people on the planet and will be with us for most of the rest of our trip! They are from Devon so we will spend some down time there...maybe.
June 22nd: Leave Devon and drive up to London to see LCD Soundsystem at Academy Brixton Out of this world stoked about this
June 23rd: Skip on down to Gosport to meet some of my favorite denim elves!!!
June 26th: Fly out of Bristol up to Glasgow and head to Tyndrum to prepare for our hike
June 27-July 1st: Hike the back half of the West Highland Way ending in Ft. William...we say goodbye to The Brits here : (
July 1st-July 4th: Explore Scotland some more (Maybe spend a few days in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas)
July 5th: Edinburgh to Dublin to Denver and back home again.
Before I met my wife I would literally buy a plane ticket somewhere I wanted to check out and that was the gist of the planning. I'd get off the plane and walk out of the airport into the new land with my backpack and just go and let the whole thing be what it would be. I'm domesticated now it seems. Gonna be a great trip and we are so excited to see this part of the world!!

Well forum friends...hard to believe but the time has come!! We leave for our UK odyssey this Friday!! Morgan and I are buzzing with excitement. So much thought and dreaming turns into planning and finally actualization! Morgan has all her clothes laid out and organized....I have zero of that done! haha. Figure I'll get to it about an hour before the Uber arrives to take us to the airport.
Super excited to kick this off! So many awesome chapters of this trip to look forward to!! Stay tuned for lots of photo drops!!

@Mizmazzle hell yeah man, super excited for you. Keep us updated on all the things.
-
@Mizmazzle hey man - just came across this thread. Dublin is home (though living in Vancouver currently). Do you still need recommendations? Is your itinerary set?
-
@Mizmazzle Excited for you guys! Can’t wait to see what the next few weeks has in store…and don’t forget the 822’s, they’ve earned this trip!
-
@Mizmazzle you need to get your arse in gear, unless of course your plan is to “accidentally” forget to pack stuff that can conveniently be replaced in Gosport
-
@americanathreads oh cool man!! We could probably use some suggestions for south western Ireland. We are renting a car and road tripping that leg. We are thinking cliffs of Moar and maybe the Aran Islands.
** we are on the hunt for some legit, hand made Aran sweaters. Seems these are outsourced mostly these days from what I’ve read. Any suggestions in that realm would be super helpful! Also, we will be in Edinburgh for a few days. Don’t have anything planned as of now. Sounds like a cool city.

rascally bugger
how do you know @ARNC's nickname?

South West Ireland; drive around the dingle peninsula, there are guided vans so you can focus on the scenery rather than narrow road that I'd recommend. Otherwise, definitely loved our trip to Inishmore to see dun Angus. Also lots of wool there to buy. The cliffs of moher are pretty as well. The portal gate in the burren is amazing too given it predates the pyramids.

@Mizmazzle enjoy the trip!!! Lots of photos, please!
