IH-634S-B - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Overdyed Indigo
-
This is Nr. 21 in the Heavy Weight Denim Championship, haven't posted in a while. IH 634 S-B, nearing 7,5 months and still going strong (no wash planned in the near future, so don't ask!).
-
awesome MP. those combs in particular.
-
pics in front of the orange/red wall are supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
jeans are coming along very nicely. not that you need to, but when do you plan to wash?
-
That's a very good question. (Thank you all btw!). There is no need to wash in terms of smell and as they are really tight right now, the only option I consider is to handwash them while wearing them and wear them dry. Might do this soon, when the weather's right. But still, I fear not to fit in anymore, even if they stretch out again.

Thanks

You're right. I think fades come out better in mild lighting, not in a that bright light and colourful background. Wait till my next bathroom located evo pics.
-
True that. That made me wonder, if the od look like the normal blue jeans before the overdying or a re somewhat lighter.
-
Thanks for clarifying. Thought so, too, but still it is sometimes hard to believe, as they fade much more grey than blue. Like I would expect from the SBG. But, on the other hand, that makes sense, as the indigo might be dyed black and the inner white fibre comes through.

Received my 634S-B last week. I am obsessed with the buttons.
-
why with the buttons?
-
I love the tarnish on them. These also feel much less stiff then when I got my 634S.

Has anybody seen a pair of these with extensive fading other than Max Powers' pair?
The black dye seems to "stick" to the sanforized denim better than the raw so as they fade, they don't expose as much blue but rather grey/white from the core warp/weft. I could be very wrong but has anyone else noticed any difference between any of the overdyed sanforized vs. raw denim?
There is also the chance that I am completely over analyzing this…
