That's a beauty and one more proof, the roping effects don't require chainstitching!

Chain stitching helps, especially on a sanforised or pre-shrunk garment.  On a raw garment, the shrinkage will always cause stress (= roping) whatever the stitching method (well, unless you use a slip stitch which would be completely fekkin stupid)
