Yuki is settling in to the house now. Kira has been away for a week, and is away until the 25th still on a job in Peru. I have to say I was not ready for solo puppy life, its been a brutal few days, especially with the website migration! This week he was allowed outside for the first time, post vaccination.
He thinks the forum is pretty dull though, sadly

Walked into a friend’s automotive and bike shop on Wednesday and caught the shop pet snoozing on the hood of this BMW where the paint had just finished drying a few days ago. The cat’s claws could have done a number on it but he calmly got up and padded softly off the yellow hood.

Continuing the theme of clean and dirty, here is Disco on Sunday afternoon posing after winning Best of Breed at the Royal Sydney show. I should cheapen the victory by pointing out that our rival failed to turn up, after she unfortunately injured her knee. But the advantage of a rare breed dog is that it is likely to win its class by default.
And here he is on Monday morning after he spent an hour chasing a Pitbull and a sheep around a small farm on the outskirts of Sydney. It was probably the highlight of his weekend.
Disco got a lot of attention at the show. I probably had to explain what a Peruvian Hairless was hundreds of times over the two days, because it's a fairly unique breed. Well, except for the Xoloitzcuintli who were further down the aisle...

@Alex I missed your post last week, but I did the puppy life solo. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I wasn't working, which probably made it easier. And just when you think you've got it all down, they hit adolescence and start misbehaving.
I wonder if Kira ran into any hairless dogs in Peru. They've become a cultural treasure, and some are kept at historic sites.

Yesterday was the saddest day. We had to say goodbye to our 16 year old, Kuma. Morgan is beside herself. She got Kuma when she was 23 and they’ve been through so much together. Our house feels so empty now…
R.I.P sweet girl.
In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...
