Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…

@Danimal506
normally it’s absolutely no problem to polish acetate frames . Guess a good optics shop will be able to.
or do you want to do it yourself? -
@Daniel-San I’m not opposed to a reputable shop doing them. I’ll have to do some research to see if anyone in Austin, TX retails JMM. I bought them off the website years ago.
I was hoping just a polishing cloth and a light compound would do the trick.

@Danimal506
I think JMM will do it too, at least they do repairs. So they should be able to polish
but of course a local retailer would be easier and cheaper.
keep us updated -
@Daniel-San Will do!

@Danimal506 I wonder if a jewelry polishing cloth would work?
-
@Danimal506
there are few videos on youtube how it’s done professionally.
Asked our local optometrist and he takes around 50€/$ for it. It seems to be very important that it doesn’t get warm during polishing, so special polishing stuff is needed.
And the lenses are removed to get a good overall result and to protect the lenses . -
@Daniel-San Thank you for that information. I would easily pay 50 or so to get them done professionally. They’re worth it. I’ve had these for four years now and haven’t babied them at all. A little tune up would be nice.

So I’ve been having a lot of eye strain with my new Grand Prixs….it started before the RX lenses were put in and continued after the RX were put in. Just took them back to hopefully solve the issue.
They think maybe an extreme curve of the lens might be the issue. Anyone ever experience this issue?
