beautiful_FrEaK, my opinion ? You weren't shitting on anything. I think you're fine and weren't disrespectful at all. You're entitled to your opinion and actually, I'm sure that many feel as you do about the "Iron Heart" label on the shirts. It's good feedback to Giles. I detected no evilness in your tone and I know you mean well. I admire your passion for Samurai, and truth be told, Blackheart, Denim Sailor and YOU make me want to try a pair of 21-24 oz Samurai cuz the denim looks FUCKING BLISSFUL on all of you. Part of Giles UK's success is his gentlemanly respect for other brands not IH. He could be a dick about Other Denim Brands on his forum but he's not…and I respect the hell out of him for that. Giles is a lot smarter than he admits to...he's got legions of ex-Samurai converts as customers and this happened organically, not by Mr. G's forcing IH down people's throats. Who knows, Beautiful_Freak ? You may just become one of these converts one day. You just never know....
But you did not shit on IH, Beautiful_Freak. People tend to fly off the handle for irrational reasons. I don't really understand...

Lando, I read the conversation and I have to say I agree with your comments.
My approach is that I may post stuff about other brands (I was the one who started the Samurai thread) which I like or want to know about, but I just dont want to post pics of other brands. To me (and this is silly, I know, but thats the old school way I was programmed), its a matter of being a polite guest in the house of IH, so to speak… No disparaging comments about IH and nothing too exhuberant about other brands.
Imagine you're invited for dinner at the Smithes and that you say I dont like your food. That cant be. Same if you keep talking the whole evening about how wonderful the Joneses and their cooking are!!!

Beautiful_Freak, this forum is very honest. Beats told Finn that his Sams look better on his body than his IH !! There is no fake bullshit going on here. Monday is pretty honest with constructive criticisms about IH looks and fits too. Dude, I really hope you'll try a pair of BB-Raw. You have the ideal physique for them ! (you're pretty fucking hot if I may say so myself). Damn, if I had the money right now, I'd buy one each of every style of BB available and Devils Fit. I don't, unfortunately – huge expenses this year for various untold reasons. I'm saving up for IH clothes appropriate for my upcoming Mt. Whitney trip. That's one thing...no other Japanese Denim brand has anything suitable for a Mt. Whitney climbing trip -- none other than IH. If there were other alternatives, I'd look into them, but there aren't. Heavy weight denim is doable but I need the toughness and the paraffin...who else has that except IH ? What if it rainstorms during my hike ? Trust me, it has happened to my Mum. Not fun. You want to be protected, head 2 toe.

Like Monday, I very rarely wade in, but in this case I am going to. Because of who I am and what I do, it is difficult for me to come across as objective, so please bear in mind, I am trying to be.
There are a lot of people on this forum with a great passion for Iron Heart. There are also a lot of people with a great passion for other brands, some people (probably the vast majority) love a variety of brands.
It was me who created the board "other denim and garment brands", specifically because I wanted to engender discussion about loads of stuff. Yes, I am passionate about Iron Heart, but I also own TFH. Sammy, PBJ, Roy, Sugare cane, Warehouse etc etc. I own them because I love quality constructed clothes.
My feeling is that if you are in the Aston Martin owners club and all you do is go on about how fantastc Ferarris are you're likely to get a few negative vibes, I think that perhaps the comment about IH copying Nudie who had copied Lee was probably the straw that broke the camels back.
If there was a Sammy Forum, I would likely join, but I certainly would not exclusively post about Iron Heart.

And about th variety of brands: next one is FC or IH. Whereas FC is in the lead right now (I'm sure I did something wrong again
