Sorry for the lack of pictures today (so far…).
Today was a bit underwhelming: I had go into the office one last time for a handover.
As a bit of a background regarding myself:
I am a garment technician/garment engineer by trade and spend the last 20 years in the industry working for companies like Escada, Hugo Boss and adidas. The most recent 3 years I spend here in China, which was mostly fun, but I got kind of tired and disillusioned with corporate life in general and the direction business was going and decided to leave.
So here we are having all the time of the world waiting for my wife to wrap-up her stint (she works/worked for the same company) and no pressure to get into the next job. This Friday we will fly to Moscow via Frankfurt (my wife's American and I'm German BTW) visiting friends and interviewing for the next job. The week after I will go back to Berlin (my hometown) while my wife has to attend a week of business meetings in the south of Germany. After that we will return and I guess we can pack things here in China and relocate to Berlin.
What I have planed for the rest of the week is to give you guys (and gals) some insight into the life of modern China as you can experience it in the streets. We will go to the tea district, tasting and buying tea, we will go and buy pirated DVDs, do the groceries and go out dining the Chinese way! Further more, I have to go into HK on Friday to buys something for my wife for the upcoming wedding in Germany. We are already married since last year, but we didn't give the German part of our relatives a fair chance to turn up on the short notice given - so we gonna have a second, informal wedding in Berlin in September. -
thank you for the background story & you have done more in your few days then some during their entire leg . . . just saying

Yesterday, I gave the jeans a good washing (hand washing with sugarcane vintage care) and since they are dry now (you need to know that the temperature here in GZ is usually around 32-36C/90-95F plus humidity - pretty much nothing dries outside and nothing goes without AC) I gave the patch some attention. They smell lovely.
Later tonight I will discuss (with pictures) the boot/shoe situation with you guys in order to manage expectations… -
Let me give you a brief introduction first…
This is the house where our appartment is situated
this is our living room & kitchen
this is how the day started - we actually live in the city and look down on the Pearl River from our appartment. Most of our expat colleagues live a bit outside of town with their families & kids
a glance out of the windows facing to the back
after getting up and seeing my wife off to work I started with taking some day light pictures of the jeans and reviewing the shoes and belts situation…
these are the shoes & boots I plan to wear over the next couple of weeks
and maybe my wife lets me borrow her Viberg engineer boots…
I will go through the tees, shirts and jackets tomorrow - the idea is that if you want to see the IH-634S paired with certain items from my wardrobe I would give it consideration.
