      Fabulous, thanks!

I’m considering them because I want the highest rise possible. I love the 888, but I sometimes feel like I want an even higher rise. And maybe slightly more room in the top block. I’ll wait and see on the measurements

My pair I've been wearing for around 2-2.5 years pretty consistently. The 1955S is by far my favorite fit.

To anyone who has both 888s and 1955s, did you go with the same tag size? Looking at the existing size charts it seems like the closest match to my 888s in 33 would be the 1955 in 32.

We would advise to wait for the new run of 1955 to arrive and be measured. Chart may need updating as sizing can vary between runs and then we can really give you solid advice.

@briaan I own both the 1955 21oz and a couple of different versions of the 888, all in size 34, but as Adam mentioned, always best to wait for the size chart.

I’ve compared the measurements, do I have a sense, but have you ever tried the 888? I’m just wondering how the 1955 compares in terms of top block specifically, roominess w/ the hip and the higher rise. I’m looking for something a little more forgiving in the top block with a higher rise.

I may be barking up the wrong tree with the 1955.

@drewfonse Hey, I own a pair of 888-14SBG and a pair of 888-UHR, The top block fit is about the same as the 1955, except the 1955 fits slightly higher, around the bellybutton for me. If you wear it a little lower, you get plenty of room in the thigh area but your crotch will also drop a bit.
I find its more comfortable to drop the crotch on the 1955 and wear it relaxed but still fitted then the 888.

The only other difference is that the leg on the 1955 is straight but the 888 tapers a bit. its slightly noticeable and depending on your body time and height, it can work out better. Just note that both still have enough leg opening for boots to be worn under.

                                        Bummer, ok!

I know it can be hard to estimate, but the reason I’m trying to determine is that I have 3 pairs of new denim that I’m planning on sending away to be tapered and chainstitch hemmed here in the US. I was hoping to add a pair of the 1955 to that, so I’ve been holding off on sending the 3.

I’m willing to wait. Like I said, I know it can be hard to estimate. Is beginning of February any more likely?

                                        Thanks again!

I wear a 33 in the 634S-B but have a narrow waist (31" on an empty stomach). Am I crazy to think I may be able to go down to a 31 in these?

For a bit of context my 634 have stretched to a comfortable 12 6/8" in the thigh and the waist (measured flat, not the IH way) is around 16.4", but it also sits just above my hips, several inches below my navel and I wear a belt to keep it from sliding too low. Meanwhile I own an 888 in a size 33 that, pulled up properly, has 3-4" of room in the waist, so that I can't actually wear it high and it sits at around the same spot on my body as the 634. I can't size down on the 888 because the lower thigh would be way too tight, but given that these don't taper till after the knee I may be ok?
