Can anyone that own this jacket help me with some things. Would you consider this a winter or more a fall / transitional jacket? If you own the IH n1 Deck Jacket as well, which is quite a heavy big jacket, is this equally big/heavy or more light weight?
I own both and would say both are winter jackets. The A2 did well in temperatures down to -6° C with an UHF or swaetshirt underneath. It offers more room then my N1 and is a bit more comfortable to wear for me right now.
The upsides of the N1 are the collar (no need for a scarf) and the interior pockets, which I miss dearly in the A2.
Both are great jackets.

Thanks! I am looking for a fall jacket, so i reckon that i will look elsewhere. My winter needs are definitely covered plenty with my N1. This A2 is darn good looking though.

Hello, hope you are all well. Do you have any experience or recommendation how to clean A2? It says no washing but I hate using harsh hemicals as dry cleaning shops. It's mainly regular dirt on sleaves and collar and some inside at the bottom. Ususal stuff.

@Johnnyutah247 I have the serge and it is a really nice colour, is it worth having both if you can afford it why not.

@gazza61 how does the serge compare to the whipcord in terms of feel and warmth? Do you know ?

@Johnnyutah247 I have the ripcord on a n1 I think the serge has a slightly softer feel ,the a2 is one of my favourite jackets and it compares well in terms of keeping you warm. you can never have too many jackets.

@Cole I’d be a buyer if it had an internal chest pocket, but I realize that might not be in keeping with the original designs.
IH have been known to update with modern design elements, so I’m truly hoping for this A2 in khaki with an internal chest pocket
