@Giles If those were the rejected ones, I would love to see his acceptable ones 🙂

Not a fisherman myself so amazed to see these handcrafted beauties. How long does it take an expert like to your friendo to make one of these? He must be 700 years old if he tied all those together, and they are only his rejects.

        The journey is the objective.

              Very, very cool handiwork.
Whoever gets into making them will fill up his home with all sorts of different stuff (strings, nylons, beads…..and on and on) to imitate the myriad insects flying around water bodies.

              The journey is the objective.

@Giles wow! Those are quite lovely! A well tied dry fly is a work of art. Hell, I have framed paintings of them on the wall.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

@Giles that’s sad and far too common. Our waterways around shopping centres are the same.

It's been built to access MoD (US = DoD) owned, and very restricted foreshore, the alternative is a 2 mile walk/scramble/wade. It is surprising stable.

When my mate got back to his bike after fishing, some local shits had slashed his tyres. I told him to add it to the "fast access pile"....

@Giles misunderstood the purpose…our local shits have an affinity of pushing shopping carts (trolleys?) into the local waterways for no good reason. Thankfully, they are too busy doing so, to spend time on slashing tires.

That's how they got there, it is the repurposing that I like......

Looks like good Bass territory. I saw a beaut of a sea trout jump about 5 meters from my rod tip whilst fishing for Bass last week....

Popped out for a quick 30 minutes at high tide today. Not massive, and no way of gauging its size in the photo, but a lovely fish. Put back to live another day....

Just catching up with the thread and there’s been some awesome fish caught. @Mizmazzle you're living my dream fishing the locations you do for amazing species of trout!

My season was quieter than normal but I had some great fish when I did get out. The salmon was landed on a high bank and was released straight after the photo. It was a good year for them this year which makes a change.
