Made in Japan by ROTOTO, this 100% Merino wool beanie features a shallow-fit design intended to sit just above the ears. Knitted with a two-by-two rib stitch, the extra fine 19.5-micron wool provides stretch, softness and warmth, finished with a roll-up hem to add volume and create a timeless look. Any user reviews on these? I am wondering if the knit is dense enough to provide a bit of wind protection.

@PeteC Yes, plenty thick enough. The coldest I've worn mine was just this morning (at minus 4 celcius) and my ears and head were nice and toasty!

@PeteC I don't think you'll regret it. Of all the beanies I've ever owned, this one is by far the best.

This is a nice hat. I wore it on a freezing walk around the neighborhood. The breeze was only mild, but the hat did not let any cold air through. Also, it has a low profile fit that I prefer over the style of beanies with an excess of material that stands up. I am satisfied.
