@aksu upvote for the butterflies not the tick! I thought they looked familiar and discovered that mourning cloaks are the same as Camberwell beauties (the name I’m used to).

@ARNC I had to check the english name and used mourning cloak because finnish name is direct translation from that. For the looks beauty suits better

Yellow swallowtail with a torn wing my wife and I saw flying around the buddleja this morning.

Praying mantis I saw last Sunday in one of our hellebores.

My Mom and Aunt are in town, so we visited the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Lots of insects to be seen! Here are a couple highlights
