I went ahead and got one of each as well! I had my wife get one while I got the other because I wasn’t sure how fast they would sell out. They’re still available right now, I’m glad to see they made plenty.

I have a handful of Ship John hats. The trucker hats are a bit tall, but when you get used to them they fit great. My brother has a size 8 1/4” head and he cannot fit SJ hats unfortunately. I’m a 7 3/8”.

For me they have always shipped within a day or so. I would think they were not made to order and SJ made an order (a number of them) to the shop. I've ordered four hats from them and they arrived within a week of shipping. That's coming from west coast to east. The Wills jacket when it was ready arrived around a week after shipping as well. That's my experience...
