@FlavourFade yes it's true even in my pair of 777 I noticed that they are more comfortable than XHS and XHS i/b, but that's fine also because they are extremely heavy and stiff at least at first.

@FlavourFade I think once you hem those they will look spot on!! That length you have them flipped up to looks like the perfect hem length.
Also, just my opinion, but I wouldn’t taper them. They are really clean looking as is!!

@FlavourFade That's my all time favorite black denim,and I had thoughts of doing some slight alterations,but as time went on,they just got so unbelievably comfortable,that I felt like I didn't want to mess with perfection.

Yeah I agree Jett by far! I know it’s a lost cause but I’d love a restock. I love my 777s I need to start thinking about wearing my new pair in 555. I’ve actually never had a pair of 555s

@kkibbey23 these in the 555 are not as narrow as a typical 555…more like a slightly slimmer 888….which for me is pure magic!!

@Jcaz6996 - let’s hope not. Package is in Edinburgh (delivery centre) so I think (although I may be wrong) that means it has been released by customs and does not incur a charge?

@FlavourFade - I think you made the comment about the robustness of the buttons on these. I have both XHS and Sib but my thumbs are definitely getting a work out on these. Fit is okay. Think the measurements will work - perhaps a little less room in the waist than I had hoped but doable. But trying to get the buttons in is a tiring, sweaty and painful task. Then we will go for the soak…

@Crispy-Heron you can stick a screw driver or some similar device in button holes and work it around to loosen up the button holes.

@Mizmazzle - thanks. Good tip. I have a handy bottle stopper which I tend to use. Currently trying to loosen up the top button - hopeful that it is working.

Next decision is whether to fully hem, partially hem to enable a cuff or not bother (mega cuff). Have done all three in the past, Given that I have about 6 inches of length to deal with, may go for a bit of shortening to enable a double cuff.

@crispybeantaco I feel like I am annoyed by the cuffed fabric in the two legs touching each other while walking more, when the denim is heavier. Also I like black denim more when there are no cuffs and the red selvedge ID is a little too much contrast for my taste, so I will fully hem them.
But I think yours are much more fittet with a 30 waist then mine, so they look totally different and could be very cool looking with some ID showing
