This is without a shadow of a doubt an incredibly versatile and heavily underrated piece.

All the warmth and heft of an IH hoodie but much smarter with the absence of the hood.

It never really came onto my radar until I went to Statement Store in Munich and one of the guys there had it on. Easily in my top five of all the IH that I own. If not top three…..

I saw that the Japanese version of the IHSW-29 has a two-way zipper. The same is stated for this one, the IHUK version, but the photos suggest otherwise. This version doesn't have a two-way zipper, does it?

Also how much of a stretch could/ should I expect after multiple wears and where should I expect them?

Good spot, looks like this was added on the new production run and not spotted when we restocked them. the new run all have 2-way zippers.

Had some E-Mail exchanges with Ben who tried his best to find one of these that fits my measurements.

Unfortunately the measurements of this run are rather weird if I may say so myself. None of the tag sizes fit me.

Hopefully the next runs will be different - would've really liked to have one…

Since my last post, I was able to purchase an IHSW-29 and have been wearing it ever since. The IHSW-29 is one of my most used and functional pieces. Thus it'd be absolutely great if:

1. There were more collarless knits and sweats (e.g. other colours or fabrics such as wool).

2. There were a slightly lighter version of the IHSW-29 with the otherwise same properties. This way, I could also layer it over a wool pullover and under a cafe racer leather jacket.

(Also, this out of 100% wool would be a dream)

Just adding to this old thread with an update … thanks to @cityofdelusion i landed one in XXL from the buyee.jp auction site. Excuse the dirty mirror, the shop needs a cleaning.

One of my most used IH piece to this day. Found another one - maybe the last on earth? - in the same exact size, almost totally new. Bought it immediately.

And it gets even better: The one I originally bought a few years ago (right) had only one zipper. The newly purchased one (left) comes with a two-way zipper. I don't usually buy the same thing twice when it comes to IH, but this one deserves to be used both at home and at work.

@cityofdelusion that’s fantastic, great score! The two way zipper is a great feature, so now you have the best of both worlds.

I’d actually buy another xxl if I could find one (just to have back up). I wear this piece the most of any Iron Heart I own. I’m surprised it doesn’t get more air time here.
