IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Started these maybe 3 months ago, and ran into a batch of red plastisol ink today :(. Having a hard time “wabi sabi”-ing my way out of it. Was able to get a lot of it off but it seems the ink that got pressed in is probably in there for good. Also ended up with a much lighter spot just due to rubbing out the ink. Tossed them in the washer after doing what I could with alcohol wipes, we’ll see how they look after hang drying…

@october-rust ouch!! Feel your pain on this one bro. But I bet they will still evolve in a really cool and unique way. Not sure what your job is, may make it hard to wear in a more professional type environment. But still very cool.

Run a Screenprint shop so it comes with the territory, at the worst it makes me look like I’m messy which I guess would be true lol. Luckily they’re not looking terrible after drying, going into the weft(warp?) with a leather awl trying to scratch some of the ink out. I’m sure in a few months it’ll be less noticeable but it will drive me crazy until then lol

God, I wish! I would absolutely love the duck apron even.
I think the crisis was avoided, mostly - I'm hopeful in a couple of months it'll even out a bit.
But I am reminded of that scene in Superbad...

The 634S are my work jeans so they spend the majority of time in the studio but I also wear them for carpentry and skateboarding. These are wider than I normally prefer but that little bit of extra room makes them the most comfortable jeans I own.

I agree, those and Giles’ 18 oz vintage are two of my favorite pairs of IH ever. I might’ve been more prone to leave it if the ink was white but the red was sooo drastic hah

Just got a pair, been wearing them every now and then (because of the Indigo Invitational commitment with another pair) but man they are nice. Much softer than I'd imagine.
Seeing yours @Oaktavia makes me wanna wear 'em every day - but the time will come after the II.
