I should add that with the exception of the IHSH-32 (heavy weight flannel) where I needed a XXL, I take a XL in all my other IH shirts - E.

I don't know. If you cant measure a type III, then let me know your chest size, weight and height. I am 6'2", 180lb and 42", I wear an XL. G

I'm about 5'09", 185-190 lbs. I have a stocky athletic build. Maybe this jacket isn't really my cup.

I am exactley the same size (minus the athletic part) and my new XL fits perfect…
too late 4 me. Just arrived a couple of minutes ago … size 'L' is a little bit to small, to post fit pics; so I just took a quick & dirty shot with my iPhone:

all i sell is B$ but let's give it a go for sh!ts & giggles, not in any particular order of importance:
1. it is a a true classic item
2. you live in a part of the country where you will get maximum wear-to-cost-ratio on this purchase.
3. Iron Heart quality
4. perfect for days you are wearing overdyes or chinos
5. perfect for days when you are wearing nothing at all & need to draw attention away from the rest of your manliness
6. sh!t you can make it look good & help sell a few of these since Gile$ seems to not be able to move them
7. you feel bad about not putting up enough fit pics & so this purchase as well as it's evoltuion can be can be documented in grandiose fashion
8. how many people can say they bought an item of clothing that is almost guaranteed to outlive them
9. you can will it to your first born
10. how can you say no to 21 oz.hahahahahahahaha
