@Oaktavia yeah man. I find that oiled habana leather doesn’t have much of an “oiled” finish to it at all. Always kinda dusty looking haha. Of course, Colorado is dry as hell this time of year. What did you use to condition yours?

@Mizmazzle Yeah I agree, looks more dusty than anything and I'm not even in a desert. I used the remaining Saphir Renovateur I had in my jar, just enough left to cover the clogs.

I branched out and picked up a suede pair for the first time.
Anyone have any opinions for or against using any type of waterproofing treatments?
I go Birks in public fairly often rain or shine

@GraemeE Love my suede Bostons! I don’t wear them in heavy rain. But as far as wear they hold up great!

@Oaktavia What do you use to condition your Bostons?

@Danimal506 I used the last little bit of a jar of Saphir Renovator. I will probably just use mink oil next time though.

I’m about to pull the trigger on these Milanos. Trying to decide between this Amalfi black or the Insignia Blue.
Black is classic. That blue is sick looking I think

@GraemeE ha…you're gonna love em but I don’t know whether you should put any protectant on…mine have been pretty babied. I don’t suppose it could hurt if they’re going to get wet a lot. Nice pick up!

@Oaktavia I'm psyched on em! Think the left shoe may be a touch too small. My second toe seems to push up against the curved up end a bit. Not always, but it does push up that way a bit. Worried it will cause pain with prolonged wear....these are the same size as my Bostons though...

@Oaktavia I do. If my foot is pushed back all the way the toes are great. But my foot seems to want to move forward a bit and then I’ve got the toe bump sitch. I’ve loosened the back heel strap as much as possible. Not sure.
I’m going to head to the local Birk AD and see what’s what.

Welp, ran to the local AD. I’m kind of in between sizes it seems. The foot bed feels best in the size I ordered. 42. Just like my Bostons. I’m just going to power through and try and loosen em up and hope that toe cap loosens with wear.

@Mizmazzle Ah, this happened to me with Bostons edit: wrong one they were Arizonas too but the opposite, I have yet to find a pair of them that fit right. I have spent $$ on two pairs only to give them away. I found a pair with the back strap (what're they called again?) at a fucking thrift store for $20 that fit perfectly, same size as the Bostons so idfk what's going on with that. Seems the toebeds should all be the same size regardless of the strap choice.
