Don't worry: in a few hours of worn the 18oz denim will soften in a very comfortable way (as it did with my 666sod!).

3-4 hours in hot water inside-out.
Some people use a few of mild soap, but I never tried that.

Usually, after a soak, I wear them not completely rinsed. Not still wet, but a little damp.

the fit is spot on.

Also good idea to wear them damp. I noticed that when I had soaked my 634S's. Helps to create combs, and eases stretching, especially pockets. Now I can ge tmy hands in front ones, and there is enough room for my wallet…

WARNING: They stretch a lot! And it happens quickly, in a few hours of worn. Just as the 666s, so to size down is required.
