@Alex Just out of curiosity - why 888 cut is the only one SBG where copper rivets were switched to stainless steel ones?

@Alex Thanx for your prompt reply Alex. Do I take you right understanding that there is no plans to go back to the copper rivets on 888 cut?

@Yoprst we may do. I am trying to get things consistent within our core jeans, eg. arc colour on the IH-555S-21

@Alex Well, I wouldn't say stainless steel rivets look ugly may be even on the contrary considering monochrome of SBG they are a better match, however old school dinosaurs like me prefer what they are used to through their life i.e. to the copper ones

Thanks guys! So glad I pulled the trigger on these.

Is your patch showing the same „cracking“ on the stamped areas after a soak?
I know my 21Oz had this happening too. My UHRs don’t. Seems like the stamping process is slightly different?

@weftyarn I dig that but no cracks yet, I haven’t soaked or washed em yet. It does seem like these were branded and some of the other patches were stamped?

@weftyarn I’m still yet to get mine wet either, they are starting to get a little shiny so think I’ll either soak or gentle cold wash at 50 wears and report back 👍🏼

I'm on my 634 SBG and I guess I'm roughly about at 70ish wears and did not notice anything like that on the patch. I'm yet to soak or wash them.

I always oil the patch before soaking or washing. The patch stays intact and doesn’t show any cracks. But i also reach the stadium where i’m thinking about to stop babying them..

@Heavy_blue What kind of oil do you use? Can you briefly describe the process? Is there a chance the oil transfers on denim while soaking/washing?

@Yoprst i use red wing boot oil. Just rub a bit on the patch and let it dry a bit before soaking/washing them. It keeps the patch conditioned. When you just use a little bit snd let it dry there will be no oil on the denim but the oil makes the patch a little water resistant
