The tag said ‘wear as long as possible without washing’ that’s why I referred to soaking first i checked the care guidelines and couldn’t find anything specific to mercerised in there. I know for example UHR has to get soaked/washed for many reasons. The tag from this pair made me think that’s not the case.. but maybe i’m wrong. We’re all here to learn!

But I'm afraid that they can shrink a lot in the Thigh volume if washed in a washing machine.

Maybe someone can chime in and give you some shrinktest result or so. In the end when they see hot water they will shrink.. nothing you can do about that. Only wat to avoid that is to NEVER wash and only do some cold soaking. Or.. try another pair of trousers that has been washed and sanforized:) that’s my 2 cents man

Pre
-waist: 35.5"
-thigh: 13"
-Inseam: 36"
-hem: 8.8"

Post (warm soak, light agitation, machine dried on medium heat)
-waist: 34"
-thigh: just over 12.75"
-inseam: 34.75"
-hem: 8.5"

Here is a prior shrink test on this exact pair of pants.

@webmal i don't find them to wrinkle easily, but they hold creases around the knees and top block

@twheelersmith we will try to, yes. It's taken me a couple of years to manage to get the Khaki back into production, so don't hold your breath, but I'll keep trying
