Gave them a soak & machine hot wash. Currently drying. These will be dubbed the winter traveling fat pants.

almost a month in my UHRs feeling pretty good so far. Surprisingly comfortable!

Coming up on 4mo and just gave these a wash after their initial soak/wash routine. So many blues. Feeling so good too after cleaning, getting pretty soft... All things considering that is

Man, this UHR is something special.
I’ve had much more painful denim at lower weights.
Question for the pros, how’s this compare to the xhs?

Uhr is much harder faced, crispy by comparison, and less breathable. Xhs is definitely softer and more cozy feeling, almost like the inside is brushed, while also feeling thicker and less dense.

guys i have measured my pair of jeans... i am a size 34 normally. Would the 34 in IH 666s UHR fit me post soak? The thighs and waist seems pretty good.
Is it engineered to be a 35 ish pair and shrink to a 34 post soak and machine wash? the latter would be the question.

Hi @freiheitsgrad. There is no exact science with denim and how it reacts, but we expect an approximate 1.0" shrinkage in the waist with the pre-wear wash/soak, but will then stretch back out to approximately pre-wash/soak sizing with time and wear. So it is advised to size for them to fit pretty spot on from the off, with a touch of wiggle room to allow for the shrinkage. For all intents and purposes the waist will end up roughly around where they start out the bag once the shrinkage has been counteracted by the stretch.

Round 2 in the books. These have been worn from October-March or so for the past two winters and washed probably 10 times. The iPhone does some weird things with blues but these pics are fairly accurate. Love this denim.
