This shirt is making it hard to hold out on the last couple uhfs! Hoping the timing works out. How’s the hand on this thing?

@flannel-slut it does look that way in pics. I'm sure it'd soften up tho, ya?

I just picked one of these up and love it. It’s just a hair big for me…wondering what you guys have experienced regarding washing and shrinkage?

@SKT yooo, wore mine to work for the first day today. It was also a little large but def glad I didn’t size down. Washed it cold when I first got it, threw it in the dryer - negligible shrinkage but I didn’t fully dry it. Probably will next time just to tighten it up. I think this one will get regular wash/dry routine rather than any special treatment. I think it’ll drape nicely once it softens up. I was even thinking about overdye gray a little. I have a feeling this will get some nice fuzz texture with a lot of wash/drying and might shrink a little, cuz you can feel some stretch in it.

@WhiskeySandwich good to hear. Yeah the texture is amazing I think. I’ll try to do a before after measurement and start with a warm wash and dry. It’s such a great color in person too.

@SKT the texture is awesome and I’m sure washing will make it even more so. I do like the color, but if it starts lightening up to a baby blue I was thinking of doing a rit gray just lightly. Keep us posted on your shrink results. I was going easy as I was afraid of overdoing it.

Got this in today. Already gave it a warm soak and quick warm dry to bring down the sizing some. Spring kind of came and went already but hopefully can wear this anytime we dip into the low 70s or below

@jevans41 Ive been washing mine hot in the machine and doing hot dry every wash, barely any shrinkage. Holding color also, despite turning the water colors

@WhiskeySandwich just did mine on warm/warm and got noticeable shrinkage, especially in the arms (at least .5 inch) and chest.

Does this thing soften up after a wash? Mines still crispy after like 10 all day wears.

Actually came in right around the same measurements as my other xxxl work shirts. I would not hot wash/hot dry if you want to keep it from shrinking at all

@pechelman mine has stayed very crispy after the initial wash and a few wears. Much more so than my 13 IIRC This one is a different beast altogether

@FlavourFade I feel like the weave and weight of both shirts limits their summer wearability. For instance, I wore mine over a thin T yesterday in full sun at around 70° and got pretty warm. I run pretty hot though. By comparison , the 5 oz dobby cloth from last season is perfect for higher temps I think. Hope this helps!
