@JDelage actually was late 2021 but, after one follow-up in early 2022, I sort of forgot about it and moved on. So when the AD emailed and asked if I was still interested maybe a month ago, I said sure, and then about a week later was told they had one reserved for me.

Moral of the story is apparently to not care too deeply and then maybe it will show up. 😂

@Manticore lovely pick up, congratulations. I still regret selling mine. I was interested in the Tudor Black Bay version until I had the watch in hand, the Tudor cases are very slab sided and bulky. Rolex definitely have kept the better case designs to themselves.

There is no 'I' in team …............ however there are five in 'individual brilliance'.

The Rolex GMTs are some of the thinnest travel GMTs available. The Explorer II is 12.5mm thick, whereas the Grand Seiko equivalents (SBGE285) is 13.9mm. That makes a real difference on the wrist.

@Cole I was eyeing up an Omega CK 859 with 30% off over the summer.

Unfortunately, I couldn't reclaim VAT on it (thanks Brexit), and would have been liable for GST and import duty on return to Australia. 😞

                                        So it didn't happen...

Yes I know, but 7.5k € is more then I can spare at the moment, even if it is a very good price for a brand new, somewhat limited, Omega with all the paperwork.

Plus I allready own the very first Bond Omega, which makes it very hard to explain to my wife, why this one is also very appealing. 🙂
