I'm still calibrating the balance between what I'd choose for me and what I'd choose for the rest of you. I have a few ideas that I will surely forget several times and maybe remember again before I need to submit.

I've opted to stick to my favourite songs in each category. My taste can be a little eclectic, and I'd be surprised if many of them turned out to be genuine people pleasers, but I'll follow my heart til the end..

@T4920 Eclectic is good. I'd say the same about my taste - my friends might use a less complimentary word!

I'll definitely choose stuff I like or that means something to me, but if other folks like it too that could help with scores, especially as I'm a round behind!

Greatest news for me was Cactus. Don’t know how and why, but I was complete unaware of them. Awesome stuff!

And, my mistake about the origine of that ‚Crazy‘ song is certainly inexcusable. Mixing up Gnarls Barkley with Willie Nelson, omg. I‘m open to harsh punishments like getting all points of round 1 retroactively denyed.

In an deplorable effort to get me out of this mess I‘m sharing here a playlist into which I‘ve shoveled all kinds of covers during the past year or two. Hopefully not making it worse, and some of you finding one or the other interesting.

@T4920 agreed! All choices of mine are genuine loves I have. Perhaps slightly culled in an attempt to hit a broader target audience….that attempt seemingly fell quite flat in that first round.

I've been all over the place, this round. Being a lover of all things guitar, I started out choosing a couple flat out shred fests, by 2 of my favorite virtuosos (Buckethead, Vai). But, it just didn't seem right to submit pieces that favor one instrument so heavily. So, I scrapped both. I managed to recall one that has always resonated with me. But, the second has been a revolving door. I think, I may be putting too much thought into this...

The next round is likely to give me fits, as well. I really don't have any guilty pleasures. I either like something, or I don't, and I really don't give a flying f@#! what anyone else might think about my musical tastes...
