Anyone here play video games?

Pretty much the only game I have played in the last 2 years: Factorio (got some 2000 hours in it)

Genre is Sim, strategy, world building, open world.
You need to build and expand factories, combine resources into more complex things, so go from mining coal by hand to launching a rocket to take you to another planet. Then launch X rockets per minute. There is no wrong way to achieve anything, the only thing that is guaranteed is that your solution will not be the best one, someone will always make a better contraption. For the "contraptions", they can be as complex, or simple, as you want them. Optimize speed or efficiency or space usage, whatever you want.

Extremely polished game, friendly devs who listen to their players, implement things they want. (much like the folks here it seems)
Extremely moddable game, tons of mods already exist, from small QoL mods to complete overhauls of the game. Endless possibilities.

And one other thing, be warned: extremely addictive. It is also known as "Cracktorio".

I did find myself watching hour long videos of how to maximise efficiency, as opposed to playing the actual game myself

@nickname I have lost more hours of my life to Factorio, Satisfactory, Timberborn and similar games than I'd ever care to admit to, sometime I see my "played hours" on steam and despair hahaha

Haha, I'm also a big fan of Elden Ring. I've just finished it a second time to celebrate the anniversary and I'm really happy with the DLC announcement !

I'm currently plugging through my NG+ play through of Elden Ring, although I put such a disgusting build together to take out the endgame bosses in NG that it's made it a little too easy...

Beginning of NG+ is quite easy with all the stuff from endgame. But last bosses are another story.

I've been waiting for Diablo IV for SO long. Not sure whether to jump in the beta or wait until June for the release. Did they say whether beta characters would persist?

Druid and Necromancer will be added on during next week beta in addition to current weeks 3x - Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer.

I guess it will stand till June release.

I really enjoyed it ! The ambiance is crazy and I’m eager to get the full game in June.

I'm holding off on Diablo 4 for a good few months after it releases. Mainly because Diablo Immortal was overmonetised out the wazoo, and frankly I no longer trust Blizzard not to do the same thing to D4. Hopefully I'm wrong and it will be a full priced release without the ongoing attempts to price gouge me afterwards.

Same, I was a hermit all weekend playing a Druid. Really enjoyed it and can't wait for the release!
