Ahhh, my bad - I was thinking the pliers were to address a combo of super tight/stiff buttonholes AND a super tight fit (i.e. the need to help facilitate pulling the button through the hole).

Got mine today too. Could only get the top button, but just barely. Hoping they stretch a bit, but I know they will.

Not the greatest pic, but I just had to try them on and then pop em in the back of the closet
I already like this fit over the 555. Not much difference other than the rise[emoji2371]. Ca t wait to wear em!

You’re not wrong. After my 634XHSib are well broken-in, I’m definitely going to need a chiropractor and a good masseuse!

Time to at least semi-retire my beloved PIH7ANN-R. The XHSib denim is fucking awesome, and after two days of wear they feel great. Not even that uncomfortable! The button holes were an absolute bitch, but once they started to give it all made sense.

I didn't measure them pre-soak, and I only measured the inseam post soak (hot, 45 min). I did get a good inch off the inseam which was a bit surprising. I feel like the waist didn't shrink much at all, but I never measured it.
