question on Iron Heart special order jeans:
I know if we contact Giles on a specific inseam, they can make that inseam for us from the factory (e.g. ask for a 40 inch inseam).  If I ask for a 32 inseam, does that mean it's created from scratch as a 32 with no hemming?

Yup, all delivered at the length specified in the sizing charts and just chopped and chained on Unity, if you need a shorter length:

…but a longer inseam would be possible? (speaking of slowing down the production)... And how much would that cost?

No, we used to be able to do that, but it proved to be too disruptive for the factory, so max inseam is the inseam that is quoted in the individual product sizing charts…............

A question for all/any  textile experts:

Do you think Nikiwax or any other off the shelf waterproofing formula will work on 9634s?

I am trying out an alternative to purchasing 804s.

                  Thanks for any insight.

anyone knows a chainstitch option here in switzerland?…

Giles - you know if vmc in Zürich offers chainstitch service?

I don't think so, Roger asked me to find him one…..

so i pm`ed roger at his shop and this is what simona answered me today!

                        hey,
yes we have a chainstitch service but not on an original machine.

this are the iron heart model that we have: 634s, 643sr, 164s, ihxb01, 461s, ih666.

the chainstitch service is 25.–, and it takes two days. we sell the ih666s indigo not overdyed, but at the moment we are sold out in your size, we get new stock in about three month.

                        see you soon in zürich...simona.

so G. send them some 666S from 34-38 cuz i wanna try some on :D…

I agree, doubled up looks neater and doesnt look like i bought jeans that were too long and just turned them up

Does Iron Heart still make Freebee jeans?

We went to SESF to get my wife a pair of selvage jeans for Mother's Day the other day and Kiya had my wife try on a pair of FreeBee's that he had.  They looked great on her but sadly they were a size too small.  She wound up with a pair of 3Sixteen+ 99BSP as a starter pair but I would still like to pick the Freebee's up in the next few months for her birthday if they are still available.

Get one pair of jeans - for beathability get something in 21oz (it breathes better than the 18).  Couple of shirts, matbe great white and a flannel.  Perfect start….
