Giles, you have the plan to make a typeIII with the slubby 18oz. do you have the plan to use a different type of buttons?
              coloured? bronze? darker?

I measured a jacket that is slightly similar however I'm not getting numbers near what I thought I should be in size.  .  I thought I was going to be an XL but going by the measurement I don't think my shoulders will fit, and even at that size the arm length is almost too long possibly.  Is this styled after a Levi's jacket?  I can try one of those on at a nearby store and get a size that way.

Yep, that's the best thing to do.  Sneak a measuring tape into the changing room and measure a Type III that fits well….G

I just measured a suit jacket, and I'm getting a 18.5 shoulder and a pit to pit of of about 21.  The fit doesn't allow me to raise my arms over my shoulders because of I would probably tear the coat.  Do you think I'd be a large?

I don't know.  If you cant measure a type III, then let me know your chest size, weight and height.  I am 6'2", 180lb and 42", I wear an XL.  G

I should add that with the exception of the IHSH-32 (heavy weight flannel) where I needed a XXL, I take a XL in all my other IH shirts - E.

I'm about 5'09", 185-190 lbs.  I have a stocky athletic build.  Maybe this jacket isn't really my cup.

I'm a little taller, 6' 190lbs and also find an XL to be a great fit.
