It is a very flexible fit. It is relaxed in the top block and thigh but has a modern taper. It can also be sized down so that guys with big butt and thighs can achieve a slim tapered fit.

I’d say that if you size them right they can work for everybody. The high waist and inevitable stretch means you can go old skool and size down one or even two from your regular for a relaxed slim fit, or go TTS for a a relaxed tapered fit. Sizing down also minimises the rise which some folks aren’t used to.

No pressure, but the high rise means I can do a starting waist  one inch under what I normally need in 666, 634, 777 etc. I think the roomy top block that tapers in towards the waistband helps.

I appreciate the difficulty you have of course. New cut etc. The only other advice I can give is to study the other 888 threads that are better populated.

There are other places this is covered too. I have experience as I’ve gone tts twice on the 888 and had to flip them and size down.

I sent them to Rain, should have gotten them Saturday. So hopefully 2-3 weeks will have them. Along with my 21oz being tapered. These will probably be one my best fitting denim. Can't wait as it's my first pair of black to grey

I picked up a pair of these are corlection a few days ago. Only my second pair of IH ever (had a pair of the triple works years ago)

Fit pics in a day or two, maybe.

Just tried these on today, and they look and feel great. Hard time figuring out my 888 size. In 31, they were kinda ‘painted’ on the top block (not uncomfortable though), but kinda looked like a jeans worn by Beegees. In 32 they look cool, but I fear they’ll become saggy once I’ve stretched them.
So I’m asking if the top block will loosen up with wear so it doesn’t look as much like a 70’s jeans? @neph93 I believe you’re well traversed with this fit?

@Tuefar I'd say start with a snug top block and they should stretch out a bit. Another thing you could do is contact IHUK and see if they have a slightly oversized 31 that sits between the two sizes. Hope that helps
