nope, Simon, I wouldn't use 21oz on 21oz for repair, just too bulky..the reason we put the patches on the outside is that Alex wears his jeans cuffed …

hey G, now that it's no longer summer and i can entertain the possibility of wearing denim again, i needa get my ass into gear and get my 301s blowout fixed up. any recommendations on places to send em? IH HQ? japan? usa? any place is as expensive as the other to ship to from the antipodes…

My sr's are starting to come apart in the crotch area. I'm really hoping to slow this down as much as I can.

                where they are at,

What is the best way to go about this? A patch sewn on from underneath?

Yes on reflection I think it's fine, just didn't expect it so soon. Anyway it's a good excuse to buy another pair  😉

Seriously from the second pic looks like it's just happening at the front? I think the fast hooks on your boots are doing it.

Options 1. new boots  2.cuff your jeans 3. take your boots to a cobbler and change hose hooks to blind/exposed eyelets.

                              Cheers Jimmy I think I'll choose option 1  🙂

i have exactly the same fraying on my IHs from the Iron Rangers.
it's the fast hooks. (front of the hem is above, btw). but I won't bother/repair it.

The denim is so tough and the pocket opens are tight.  Even with the heaviest twill that we can sensibly use, if the person uses the front pockets regularly, there is a tendency for the twill to give up.  On the Devils Fit and the DC4, because they are a tighter jean we have incorporated a tape at this point in an effort to increase the life of the twill

Use your BB flash pocket to cover your stitching, Alex… Just shove it in your front pocket, and use 2 cms to cover your stitching, and shove your Sebenza's clip over it...
