Nice one Anesthetist! I spent a fair bit of time at the desk and like to keep things fairly neat, about the only change day to day is if I have bills, I'll stick them under the keyboard to keep front of mind/in sight.

@Snowy what keyboard is it that you're using? I've been looking at some split designs, but I don't think that I've seen that one.

            Thanks @Snowy.

I've seen the Ergo Dox, but not the tilt kit, which is what threw me.

              That USM stuff is cool.

I just got myself a Tactile Turn pen, in bronze. The small model fits in all of my denim shirt pockets, including Western, and it should get a nice patina over time.

Thank you @Chris, I bought it second hand and it was in terrible shape. Charles was kind enough to refinish it and do it for free! Top notch guy.

@Snowy, I like Kusama a bit myself. Have you looked into her tenugi pieces? I have a couple hanging around the house. They arent an “investment piece” but they look pretty cool and wont break the bank.

Yeah I've seen them. We have a few other tenugi's up already around the house. Am sure we'll find something at some point from someone we both agree on. Our last art piece took 10 years to hang after purchase, hopefully this one takes less than 10 years to find and hang..

I thought about starting a new thread for (office, designer, ergonomic etc.) chairs, but decided to limit myself to asking a question instead:

Does anyone own a "HÅG" brand chair? If yes, how has your experience been?

Edit: Thanks to @goosehd for finding the fitting thread and moving my message here.

@cityofdelusion I'd be interested in such a thread. Since I'm working from home I've put a lot of thought (and money) into my setup.

@cityofdelusion I do, the Capisco. Been using one for at least 20 years. Despite the unusual shape, it's the best chair I ever encountered for working behind a desk. With the two cutaways from the seat surface, you open up the angle between your legs and your back, and it makes for a very 'active' seating position.

@tody Damn! 20 years of using the same exact (I assume) chair is a serious testament to the quality and function of a chair. I also noticed that the Capisco seems to be the most popular chair that HÅG sells. I like the idea of being able to use the back side of the chair to "hug" the chair if you wish to change your position once in a while, since I often tend to sit like a monkey on my chair anyway 😂 I wasn't sure if Capisco would be the right chair for me since I sit quite a lot and I've encountered some reviews that mentioned the Capisco not being very comfortable if you want to remain seated for longer periods of time?

Also, I was curious if the Capisco is better than the more "conventional" office chair designs that they offer. Of course that's pretty subjective and depends on the user's anatomic build and needs, but I'm basically looking for the best (healthiest) office chair I could possibly buy and not regret my decision down the road. That said, there seems to be somewhat of a consensus that HÅG is the best which is why I started researching before I make a decision.

Oh and I heard that the "downward tilting" function of the seats on HÅG allow for a very healthy sitting position especially for the pelvis.

@cityofdelusion exact same model, at least. The first one held up for 15 years of office use. They modified the model over the years, so I couldn't get a replacement upholstery. Kleinanzeigen.de is your best bet to pick one up for a better price than buying new.

I just tried to snap a pic so you get a better idea of the seating position and the angles. It may be awkward at first, but you should get used to used it very quickly.

Oh, and wait... Wtf am I doing in the office on a sunday afternoon 😢

@tody Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion! I've been eyeing Kleinanzeigen as well for some cheaper prices - especially those that offer shipping options.

If I decided to go for the Capisco, would you recommend going for full leather or just fabric cover? I like that leather will age (love patina) and is probably more durable, but I was wondering in terms of breathability etc. kind of factors. Would be great to know if there's anything else that you would recommend (or not) regarding the Capisco.

Also: Working on a Sunday...? You must really like that chair.
