I'm 171 and 75, I wear large but for Summer wear you can use a medium, if you dont mind tight.

Received my jacket in the mail.  The size 42 is XL?  Chest measurements don't match the websites, chest is 42" instead of 44.5".

I still think its a decent fit.

Blakey, a 42 should be an XL. I have the IH-1527 (Black 21oz Rider's Jacket) in a 42 and the chest measures at 44".

42 is an XL.  Measured pit to pit, you should get 22.2.  Giles

The jacket is still quite stiff, would a hot soak help soften it up a bit? I know, I just cant handle the stiffness on tops, feels like wearing armor
