We decided to take a day off sailing (motoring) with friends:
Leaving our marina

Two of our latest Destroyers, HMS Daring and HMS Dauntless

An earlier prototype, HMS Warrior (our first iron clad war ship), it never fired a shot in anger, it was so advanced for its time, whenever our enemies saw it coming, they sailed off in the opposite direction as fast as they could

We are (obviously) a naval port, so there are defences old and new everywhere you look

This was one of 4 sea forts we built to defend our navy in the 19th century

As we came home, the Americans were leaving (local brothels will quiet tonight)

G., P., A. - great photos of life on the sea (certainly appreciated with family in Hamburg and growing up in New England) - any pirates - seagulls/magpies - try to steal your lunch - rainy day in Aspen, but the birds are certainly voicing their happiness that Spring is here - appropriate weather for Good Friday - last ski area closes on Sunday - Seul, worry not, your pig would be safe in my house - Cheers, E.

Sometimes all your experience just fails you… Battling a hangover that apparently goes up to 11...

This is one of these very rare occassions when I have a hangover that I can't even think of having a sip of ANYTHING… I threw up the booze I had been battling it with 4 hours ago btw... So yeah: didn't work to start with...

I know I should stop whining though... There are people with much worse conditions out there... Being Scottish, for example...
