I love the look and the idea of a fixie but it's just not practical unless the town you live in is reasonably flat.
Where is this one from?
When you say "fixie" are you referring to a single speed bike or a bike that you can't coast on? They are two seperate things.
this bike you can coast on but you can switch it to a fixie. The brand is republic. It's just for riding around with my kids nothing crazy or any real long distance riding so a single gear is good for me
-
ok jimmy, you can coast on this bike, but you can flip the rear tire & change it to the non-coasting variety
here is the site if you want to check www.republicbike.com

Oh to be able to hang out with you today IJ…

We decided to take a day off sailing (motoring) with friends:
Leaving our marina
Two of our latest Destroyers, HMS Daring and HMS Dauntless
An earlier prototype, HMS Warrior (our first iron clad war ship), it never fired a shot in anger, it was so advanced for its time, whenever our enemies saw it coming, they sailed off in the opposite direction as fast as they could
We are (obviously) a naval port, so there are defences old and new everywhere you look
This was one of 4 sea forts we built to defend our navy in the 19th century
Mrs G in The Great White and PBJ scarf
Alex (in Busters), helps prep lunch
Everyone was on the water today
As we came home, the Americans were leaving (local brothels will quiet tonight)
