My pair just arrived, fantastic pair of jeans. Definitely glad I went with the 29 instead of 30. They're a bit snug in the waist but after they stretch a little they'll be perfect. As I suspected, the slightly narrower waist definitely works with the higher rise. Was also a bit concerned how the thighs would look on my skinny frame but they look great, definitely have an Elvis drainpipe kind of vibe. I have the matching Riffblaster jacket, just gotta get a white/black IHTB-01 to complete the look.  😎

              Hello,

Just got these  a few days ago and here are my thoughts.
Just for reference I am 5.8 @ 165lbs athletic build . The Size I got  is a 34 tag size and the jeans i reference it to was my 633S with 32W tag size.

I have never owned  a high rise pair of jeans and i am  trying to get used to the look and feel of it. I was aware of the measurements but did not realize how much  room the top block of these  would be in person. I believe that the stiffness of the jeans accentuates the extra fabric look of the butt portion.  But then after a few nights of looking at photos of high rise denim i see a similar trend and I am a little bit at ease of how they sit on my body. Ive attached a few photos with as much lighting to see how it really looks with no post process since photos I've found here doesn't really show how it sits with unflattering lighting and having the shirt tucked in.

Can anyone comment on the fit on me.

I am aware that these are relatively new but hopefully someone could share some light if these could be shrunk a tad  using a dryer.

Overall bottom line I love the jeans. In direct sun light it looks Superb and robust. Quality is top notch The feel even in Los Angeles Summer weather is livable and the crispness of the fabric is so tolerable maybe because of the cut and extra room.  Finally customer service and delivery time from iron heart is golden. Reminds me of how the japanese companies deal with there customers…

              cheers,
              john

Those look kinda large to me.  It's a bit harder to compare measurements with the 633, because the waist is higher on this model than on the 633.  I think most people end up getting a smaller waist size than they initially expect because these aren't as low on the hips.  And if I remember correctly, the superblack doesn't really shrink much, so you aren't likely to get a lot of change by washing them.

That said, I have no direct experience with this particular model, so I'll happily defer to anyone who does.

                  Yes that’s right

My 888sb Size 35 measures 36“ after a few days of wearing them. My 777s21 (low rise) Size 36 measures 37“ after they stretched a bit. I could size down in the waist Measurement a full Inch compared to the 888-sb.

For me the fit on you looks good. They settle down a bit when they broken in. I would keep them. It is a relaxed cut. If you want a skinny leg or fitted top box you should look at the 777 or 555 cut.

They don’t look bad but if you feel you could size down it’s probably the thing to do.

Nothing worse than that nagging feeling of a pair being too big or too small.

Order the size down and then you can compare and make your choice.

Thank you for all youre feedback.  I do agree that I  should have sized down but then the waist will be too tight even with the stretch. I am one of those in between sizes. I  did rocked these today  and found it over all a good relaxed
Pair of denim.  After a few wears I will zap them in the dryer to see if the could get any shrink in them. If i ruin it which  I  hope I don't  then it will up being my primary motorcycle riding pants…

                      Thanks again.

Normally I would go one size down from Adam's size (my waist is 31.5") but from this photo these look like I'm opt for same tag as Adam's otherwise the jeans may be too tight around the waist

Past purchased items that fit perfectly: 25oz OD tag 31, Pronto collab 25oz tag 31, Pronto Collab Brown weft 22oz tag 31

^ bare in mind that the higher rise on these often means you need a smaller waist as they sit over the hips.

I don’t think it’s a good idea at all to put superblack denim in the dryer. Or the washing machine for that matter. Read the care instruction sheet that they should have sent you with your order.

The product page in the webshop lists them as «Endangered» and says «No restocks» I’m afraid.

Here’s the bag. It’s made of the standard 21oz Super Black denim. I’ve had it for 2-3 years and it sees constant use. I’m not gentle with it either so it goes everywhere. It got a thorough hand wash about 6 months ago.

The thing to notice is that despite being an item which has some high wear points and despite it taking a kicking, it doesn’t get high contrast fading. It fades in a much more uniform fashion. This is the reactive dye doing its job.

If you compare it the product pics in the webshop (https://www.ironheart.co.uk/cutnsewn/ihe-19.html) you’ll see it has lost some of its initial inky blackness. Another thing with this denim, it’s pretty stiff when new but softens beautifully.

Personally I really like how this denim ages and hope to get either a jacket or vest made of it one day.
