IHM-20 - Overdyed 14oz Indigo Denim M65
-
Nice, glad you like it. Did you end up getting the SExIH 14oz OD Type III as well? If so how does the color compare between the two? The OD type III definitely looks black in person but in the pics of the M65 for some reason the OD doesn't look as black and looks a little more blue. Maybe it's just my eyes.
yes, I got the SExIH od type III. I think you're assessment is correct. The od type III looks black to my eyes and the M65 looks more like an IndigoxIndigo.

Size L, Wear a XL in IHSH-178. What do you think?

Looks great from the pics. How'd she feel feel when zipped and moving?

Thank you sir. The jacket felt somewhat restrictive with a sweatshirt, as does my Alpha M65 (size small) , but the chest is just right… I think I like the fit. Any bigger in the chest, and it would sag.

Thanks Gas. Too bad my camera couldn't capture the true colour of this jacket. I gotta say, its darker than I expected… should be interesting.

As promised, quick fit pic. 5'11, 175lbs, 38" chest – went size medium. Fits snug with a lightweight flannel on but perfect with a t-shirt. I haven't tried it on with a uhf since i'm pretty confident it would be hard to get on. I guess i'd say go with your usual size if you plan to layer and down a size if you're gonna wear a thinner top like a tee or henley. The M65 is substantial so no thick layering for me. Also, the sleeves are at the perfect length for me in a size medium as they hit just above my thumb knuckle. Had I gone with a large the sleeves would've gone down past my thumb and would've looked kinda weird. I know I could cuff the sleeve but I didn't want to deal with that. The body length also works for me and I don't think it looks blousy.

thanks @neph93. My pics suck but if it can aid those that are on the fence about this jacket then that's a good thing.
@Giles Can I assume that the overdye process has removed all shrink just like all the other overdyed tops/bottoms?
-
@gaseousclay
Perhaps I may answer with the experience of several od garments:
"All shrink out!"
Stretch to be expected in a small amount.
Enjoy the IHM-20od! -
Great fit Gaseous! Looks great on you; the more pics the better!

Nice fit Gas, are you able to move around? today I wore mine with a hoody, didn't feel any restrictions…so far so good! Should make a good light jacket.
