Thanks! Was hoping for something a bit more thermal but the herringbone lining also suits this jacket very well.

I had the previous version of this, which wasn't overdyed. @trail and arrow won it off me at the Kanreki. @louisbosco has the other one that made it out of Japan. I'm sure that both will agree with me that they were a fantastic jacket.

There are a few tweaks on this one: the velcro on the collar and cuffs has been replaced by snaps, and there's a selvedge detail down the front placket.

It's a lovely looking jacket, and I'm tempted. It's between this and the IHJ-65 Mountain Parka.

it looks surprisingly short for an M65

They are a touch shorter than the wool ones, but not much. Sam is in a medium and he normally goes large for length these days.
Happy to do comparison shots if it would help?

@Appfaff, I used my denim M65 as a winter jacket for Melbourne last year. It doesn't really get below about 5 to 10°C / 40 to 50°F here, and it was perfect for those sorts of temperatures.
