…needed another pair of UHR and it was between the 555 and the 777cuts, went with the 555. Like 'rocker' pants. 😃 Super Slim Fit is kinda 'youth-anising'! 😉
...1 hour hot soak, delicate wash warm and hang dry. All stitching set.

…love me some UHR, great stuff.

Stupid question that probably know the answer to but Tag 31 actual 32.8 soaked etc loose 1” in the waist
31.8 but after wear and under load will stretch back to 32.8 ??

            Thinking I needed a 30 waist ..

I got the tag 30 and after washing lost about 1 inch on the waist but after one wear was back to the original size. My conclusion? It evens itself out.

Yep thought as much bought the 31 we’re pretty perfect after the soak etc but now got a bit to much room in the waist after wear, think I’ll go for the 30 and struggle for a bit until they stretch back out to a 32

Awesome! How did you size compared to your other denim?

So I received a pair of these today in tag size 33 and the waist fits loose before soaking. Based upon the measurements I've taken vs my well worn pair of 21oz 634s I think the waist will be perfect after losing about 1" from a hot soak and wash.

The question is, if the waist fits perfectly after soaking/washing will it stretch out to being too big again even if not under much tension? If so I might need to return and grab a size 32 which is my usual tag. I sized up hoping for an easier break-in period figuring they wouldn't stretch much.

@Visceral The shrink that you get out of the UHR's will stretch back out in the waist…the length will not (nor will the thighs/calves - unless they are under constant tension).

How does the rest of the jean fit?  Loose, Tight, Perfect?

I'd say there's a good bit of room everywhere in the top block (most of all the waist) but the legs fit well from the thigh down definitely enough room for some shrink but not too much that its baggy.

Fit is subjective and it is ultimately what you're comfortable with…if you're undecided you could post a fit picture and let us see how they fit.

I've had a lot of great feedback from the people here and it's helped me in the past.

I think you should seriously consider going down a size.  After I shrank my 888uhr it was a real motherfucker to get them buttoned up but after a not very long break in period they are quite comfortable because they stretched out to a little beyond where I started per-soak.

                            Looking for:

Thanks all. I think considering the feedback here and looking through the other UHR threads for the other cuts I think I'm going to exchange for the 32. After trying them on again this evening they are pretty baggy in the crotch and hips as well as the waist. Cheers.

                                I need a little size advice, which I know isn't the easiest…

So my sizing is between the 36-38 pairs. I have a pair of 555-sbg and 555-od both size 38 and the waist measurements were both 38 when brand new. I have room in the waist on both pairs to be comfortable after I've worn each for awhile now. The size 38 UHR lists 39.4 waist which after shrink would be good, but if it stretches back out a lot it'll definitely be on the larger side, while the 36 is listed at 37.6... I am more worried about those shrinking in the waist and being too tight or even unwearable after a soak, but not sure if the 38 would likely be too big. I am conflicted. My OD pair is a bit on the loose side in the waist even after washing and drying, so I am leaning towards those because I wear a belt anyway, but I need some outside perspective.

You could always send an email to the shop.  They are excellent in regards to fit and sizing: shop@ironheart.co.uk

@goosehd yeah I will have to reach out. My gut tells me 38 is the move, but I am still conflicted.

Quick update. Got the 32's and fit in the top block is much better. The legs are quite skinny but should lead to some killer fades once broken in. Thanks all for the help.
