@Brock - i like Ti a lot, it's like steel but lighter. riding characteristics almost the same. stable and comfortable ride. not firm and agile like carbon, and of course not harsh as the (old) aluminum frames.
i got it to retire myself from my cc weekend rides that just got too hard for me 
This is for enjoyable cruising on the road, and offroad rides which i enjoy a lot
riding a road bike the whole time, the hardest pill to swallow were disc brakes. so noisy and big and ugly, but i got used to them. no real alternative when riding wide tires.

That’s awesome I need to try it out sometime. I hear you. Disc brakes do kinda suck but the stopping power is well worth it. This is my first bike with disc brakes and I’m about to change out the pads for the first time. I’ll be watching some YouTube I’m sure
