Can’t figure out xxl vs xl.
I wear xxl in western uhfs, 292 cpo, 9oz western flannels
I wear xl in 5oz work shirts

The 24.8” p2p on the xxl concerns me. I pounced on this size to ensure it’s need too tight since I will layer hoodies/thermals under it.

Thoughts?

I went L (XL in most shirts). I’ll be wearing over one layer though. Probably go XL if I was putting it over a heavy layer.

My rule of thumb with vests is to go with the around the same measurements as the biggest layer you’ll wear it over. Armholes on vests are slightly lower down so p2p is not at the same place on your body as with shirts.

Ugh was so sure I needed xxl. I was worried I’d miss out based on stock. Based on your feedback, I purchased a xl as well (I’m so very sorry to be that jerk). Whichever doesn’t work I’ll sell on here or return for credit, my cost to return.

@Dans - I went with the XL - Obviously we won't know if that the right choice for a few days, but here is my feelings towards it.

My IHV-02 is XL and I like how it fits in the shoulders. My 9526V is an XXL and I feel the shoulders are too big. Polartec is a great mid layer, so I wanted it to fit more neatly, and it has a ton of stretch and essentially zero shrink.

Hope that helps. I am a pretty standard XXL shirt wearer.

Xl is over a thermal, hoodie, etc. I’ll try to get out in it tomorrow here in MN.

I bought both this and a xxl (up for sale or I’ll return it to IH soon). I’m 5’8” 190ish. I posted in buy/sell. This response here is just to confirm it’s badass.

Thanks.  I got the medium, which is the same as my shirt size.  It’s snug without being tight, which is perfect for layering since it doesn’t puff out my jacket.

It hasn’t been worn in anger yet. I’ll post when I do.

@DrPat I went L as I will mostly be wearing it over one layer. An XL would have meant Incould wear it over two. I may have enough other vests to cover that issue however [emoji23]
