no worries, in my part of Germany, hints of the local accent brings your spoken English sounding very american like, what does not always help the communcation as well…

What would you recommend? sew a patch inside (afraid, that the wallet rips it off easily), just stitch it from the outside with a sewing machine, leave it as it is?

lotsa work, but I would patch it inside, probably whole bottom of the pocket.

This means to unstich the pocket, sew in a patch and sew the pocket back. I think you need unstich only halfway or a bit more of the pocket to get it patched.
