Could I run a quick fit check by you all? Thank you! Day 3 in these beauts - worried the thighs are too tight/hoping they stretch out a bit. No soaks for me until month 6 typically.
I’ve seen about 231 posts till here about the wonderful 777xhsib and I have to say those are the best fit pictures. Love the way it tappers on you. The only thing I don’t quite love are the back pockets. I’ll love to see them way up.

What is the difference between this and the other one you have? (I think is a 555xhsib)?

@spaniarddh The 777 fit tighter on top and have less taper in the legs. The 555 have more room on top and lots of taper in the legs. I like the fit of the 777s a little more then the 555. Next ones will be 666XHSib when 34 is back in stock. 777 fit more like the 666.

Just ordered a pair of these I sane looking jeans. I've got some iron heart UHF's, the natty indigo shirt, and a jacket, but I'm jumping in right at the deep end with jeans. Wish me luck, I'll be sure to post some pre-post initial soak measurements and some fit picks!

777's showed up today and the waist felt good! Phew. Fit pics to come as well as pre soak measurements. Plan on doing a cold soak before I wash them, but I've got family visiting the apartment for the weekend and only one bathroom. Excited to start breaking these things in, construction and material is out of this world. I'll drool over them more later when everyone has fallen asleep, maybe even try to sneak them into the tub

If 5'6" is very short, then yup

A short inseam is not always indicative to a short height. There are 6 foot tall people with 34 inch inseams and 6 foot people with 31 inch inseams. We all build different. Longer legs, longer torso and so on and so forth.

Haha, I took no offense. Measure 3 pairs of cuffed jeans and get a 28"-28.5" inseam, getting these cut to 31" seamed like a good choice for me. Forgot to take a pre-soak fit pick, but I'll be sure to snap one up once I manage to slither into them once they're dry. I'm a relatively short guy with a short inseam, no harm no foul

@yannis Yep, I'm 6'6" and I've got the majority of my 555 fits inseam cuffed to about 31.5-32 inches. Kind of like that "highwaters" look.

Lol!!! There is lots of interesting denim coming down the pike. The 15.6 oz slubby looks amazing. The 19oz leftie is coming towards years end in all cuts. Its gonna be an interesting fall/ winter for sure. My list is getting longer and longer.

So getting the top button done after soaking was…"interesting", but the length turned out right where I wanted it. I'll post a couple more measurements later when the sweat on my brow dries. Hemmed to 31" and lost just over 0.5" in length, which allows me an approx 2" cuff which is typically my preference. Waist started at 34.8 and is now at around 34, maybe just a tick smaller (stiffness of the top block complicating my measurement). Leg opening just over 7.5" and I lost about 0.5 in the thigh. Overall the shrinkage is about what I expected, now I'll start the process of not having it feel like my legs are encased in cardboard

Looking good and all according to established parameters @Joberwocky . The waist will stretch out an inch after a week. You are on the path to XHS nirvana.
