The 1700’s are a waffle knit thermal, in principle similar to the IHTL-1213 fabric albeit heavier and with a more dense weave. These are a very heavy straight cotton knit. Think old school rugby jerseys but heavier.

Waffle knits let air through and stretch. The cotton knot on these does a let less of both. They are pretty amazing.

The fit varies a little too btw but the dims will tell you how.

Size Large, great fit!  Very versatile piece.

Got mine in last night. Both the olive and the cream are utterly glorious. I’m a big fan of the black and white, but having these earth tones is heaven. So flexible and very easy to pair with pretty much everything. The colours are really deep and warm too.

Could the crew confirm what I believe I'm seeing: that a Large in 1600 would map to a Medium here? I like the way my old 1600 fits at Large.

It surely looks that way. The 1600’s are unwashed though and will shrink some.

I also note they are differently sized to the previous batch of 1600’s. Slightly longer but slimmer.

L in these. I used to do either an L or an XL in the older black and white versions, but these come up right in the middle in terms of chest and length.

I thank you. Then I am correct with L. From your older posts I conclude that we are the same size.
