it was around 1 grad–or about 32F when I was out and about...scarves do help:)

Thanks @RoxRocks86 being around them so often it’s easy to forget how lucky we are to get to spend so much time with horses. Comments on the forum are great reminders.
I married into horses, as my wife had Firefly (4 when we met, now 14) and Nightshade (who has since passed). After nightshade died we bought Nola (named after New Orleans, LA where my wife and I got married) who was 2 at the time and is going on 6. My wife does all the training and educating, and she used to train horses, train horseback riding, and “break” horses to be ridden. I ride what they call “husband horses”. In the U.S., western pleasure horseback riding is dominated by women, and it’s very evident when we go out in the trails. It’s 10/1 easy women to men. Women are the go-getters and husbands just want to stay on the horse and not have any issues.
Our current life goal is to buy a hobby farm so they are actually on our land, so we can spend even more time with them (that’s also the reason I must pass in so many great IH items. Until that happens, we board them at a friends.
Not even sure I answered your question, but with that zip up, I’m sure you ain’t sweating it.

@motojobobo Nola is my wife’s horse. She has trained her over the last few years. I’ve never been in Nola, my wife is the only one who has ridden her. Firefly is a “husband horse” as they say, but she is currently not being ridden due to arthritis issues. she’s our beautiful Palomino poop machine. She is easy to ride, but is not as fast as most horses we rode with so sometimes she would get bigger than her britches playing catch-up. She fell at a dead run once when I was on her and nearly killed us both. That was not a husband horse moment, but I’m still here to over explain everything.
