What is the plan! -
It almost sounded like you were gonna give up on these. Glad you’re going in to battle to make em work…or you know you could always spend a weekend or a few on that reno of yours to get them to do what you want

I’m going for this first:
Soaked the waistband and top block down to the yoke and have literally jacked them up. Been rotating then 45 degrees then leaving for an hour. After a full circle they’d stretched an inch. I’ve now soaked them again jacked them up a bit more, and will leave the to dry like this over night.

They ended up spending 24 hours under tension. I took them off while still a little damp, in order to let them form to my body, and the waist has stretched 4cm (1.6”). They can now be worn comfortably (although the rest of the top block and thighs are snug [emoji1]).

Apologies for the delay a combination of renovating an old house, a local spike in the pandemic with associated harsh new restrictions, and some terrible weather has limited opportunities. I’m also not «wearing» them yet as these will be my spring/summer pants.
Enough waffle/complaining. These are now comfortable and ready to go when the weather improves. I’m super happy.

Thanks one and all. When these were mentioned on a zoom call a while back I went back to the measurements and had a revelation regarding how these might work. The only problem was when the restock came and the starting waist of 34.4" dropped to an actual 33.8".
Now they are fitting how I envisioned (like Burt Reynolds in 1977 @spitfiredealer
), and I am very happy to add a very different cut to the wardrobe. -
